Living with it
The ZZ keeps a secret underground: a rhizome that looks like a potato and stores weeks of water. That’s why it forgives neglect that would flatten most plants.
Those leaves are so glossy people assume they’re fake. Give it low-to-medium light, water only when the pot is bone dry, and it will slowly arch out new stems that unfurl a bright spring-green before darkening. Slow, but genuinely unbothered.
