You bought a healthy plant, brought it home, and within days it started dropping leaves. Before you blame yourself: this is almost always acclimation, not death.

Greenhouses run at a light intensity and humidity most homes can’t match. When a plant moves from that environment to your living room, it recalculates how many leaves it can afford to support and sheds the excess. It’s not dying; it’s rebalancing.

The worst thing you can do in response is fuss — repotting, extra fertiliser, moving it around looking for the perfect spot all add stress. Instead, pick one bright, stable location, water only when the plant needs it, and leave it alone for a month. The plants we sell are already acclimated to indoor conditions before they leave us, specifically to shorten this rough patch.
